X-Plane

VAS ACARS has support for connecting to X-Plane using either a VAS ACARS plugin or through XPUIPC. We recommend using the VAS ACARS plugin since this is more stable and is updated more frequently. However, if you are unable to use the VAS ACARS plugin, you can use XPUIPC. Using XPUIPC is detailed here.

Getting started

The following versions are supported for the vasxplane plugin:

First, download the vasxplane plugin:

Then follow these instructions for installing and configuring VAS ACARS to use the plugin:

  1. This is a normal X-Plane plugin, so install it in your X-Plane installation by extracting the ZIP file and copying the vasxplane folder to the Resources\plugins folder of your X-Plane installation.
  2. Start your simulator
  3. Open VAS ACARS
  4. Click the Settings icon in the top-right hand corner
  5. Click the Simulator Connector tab
  6. Click on Use for the X-Plane connector

vasxplane should be shown in the Plugins -> Show Plugin Admin dialog

Updating the plugin

To update the plugin, follow these steps:

  1. Close X-Plane
  2. Delete the vasxplane folder from your Resources\plugins folder
  3. Follow the instructions above to install the new version of the plugin
